Through the turnstiles we pass through without question, while some stop and stare “how do I work this contraption” | Evan Thompson Photography

This photo is relevant to how I feel, and Im sure many of you feel. Just the pure speed that this photo portrays feels like an exact replica of my life; moving way too quickly without any sense of direction.
I find myself trekking dangerous paths at the darkest of hours, but always seem to find comfort through my lens. I get this temporary escape from the apprehension that I felt from what may be lurking behind me. For that split second I feel nothing & everything all at once. Capturing an image makes me feel like I have a special gift, that no one else has; like I am the only one that is able to freeze what I am looking at forever.
